Yesterday, 1/10/2015, Eric Rodriguez of Punch Customs put together a smashing showcase of top notch custom figure work at the Alchemical Theater here in New York City. If you were lucky enough to score a pass this event you were graced by the master works of Bleau Aquino from Gee Whiz Customs, Zuno, Dorgmal Snow, Eric Rodriguez of Punch Customs, Elvis1976 (Sebastien Bontemps) and Winson ma.
Not only did we get to gaze upon these great works we got to talk to some of the artists and get a glimpse of what it takes to produce such high quality of work. It was great to hear Bleau speak on the design of the clothing and how it was made and to hear Sebastien describe the process of stringing the single strands of hair through his Lord Of The Rings Figures. To hear about such meticulous, painstaking processes puts the love and devotion behind this often overlooked art form to light. To me that was the best part; to see all this hard work and man hours poured into not one, but dozens of pieces for the love of it! Being able to do what you love , even if it has turned to work and still love doing it is a thing of beauty that most of us will not know.

It was a great show, I even won a raffle and walked away with Punch Customs very own Hong Kong SDU (Special Duties Unit) "Bruce". I'll be writing up a review of later on in the week, so keep an eye out!
I just want to give a huge shout out to all the artists involved, you guys put your heart in soul into your work and it shows! Everyone should show these guys some love and follow & support what they do! Also to Punch Customs Eric Rodriguez for putting together this fantastic show! You'd think that it would be easier to see gatherings like that here in NYC. Lets hope this is the start of a new trend!
